Tribute: Mum to me was my hero and always will be my hero. She has always been there fighting my corner, to listen to my problems, my dreams and also my crazy ideas. Mum would support me as much as she could so I could have a normal life. In my younger years she would help me get ahead in life, whether it was helping me ride my big blue disability trike, or using a whole Sunday to finish some GCSE English course work, or teaching me to ride with RDA. Mum was always the life and soul of any party from 18 year old Thomas Wolsey birthdays to weddings. I was her dance partner even if it was just us in the kitchen rocking along to jive bunny while cooking. My friends say I’m a good cook; well I learnt from the best. Mum’s food was never boring and you could bet your bottom dollar on it having garlic in it, which is probably why I was single for so long. Mum always wanted the best for everyone and always put herself last, trying to help anyone and everybody. I could stand here and talk for hours on end and still not paint a complete picture of that remarkable woman, so I would like to say thank you to mum for putting up with for all these years and I promise you I’ll do you proud.
